Gerri Colombe has managed to establish himself as the clear favourite for this three-miler, which has looked like the most open Grade One of the meeting throughout the season. Gordon Elliott's star is unbeaten over fences, collecting Grade Ones at Leopardstown over Christmas and the Scilly Isles Novices' Chase at Sandown.
Dipper winner, The Real Whacker has been entered here, as well as the Turners' Novices' Chase and the Gold Cup. Kauto Star winner Thyme Hill sits prominently in the betting, alongside Willie Mullins' trio of Sir Gerhard, Ramillies and Gaillard Du Mesnil.
