State Man dethroned Honeysuckle to win this race 12 months ago. Willie Mullins' star has taken his tally of Grade One victories to seven this season and returns to Leopardstown having beaten Impaire Et Passe in the Matheson Hurdle over Christmas.

Impaire Et Passe could renew rivalries with his stablemate at the Dublin Racing Festival. Bob Olinger could drop back down to two miles, having romped to victory in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.

Willie Mullins has handed further entries to top mares Echoes In Rain, Lossiemouth and Gala Marceau. Gordon Elliott could be represented by Pied Piper and Fils D'Oudairies. Lorna Fowler's Colonel Mustard is the eighth and final entrant.
