2024 Irish St Leger Entries

Kyprios held off Hamish to win the Irish St Leger during his dominant 2022 season. Aidan O'Brien's star finished a close second to Eldar Eldarov on his first start of an injury-curtailed campaign last year, but O'Brien's top stayer will return to the Curragh on the back of four straight victories this term and Kyprios is the odds-on favourite to claim his second Classic win.

Continuous could join his stablemate in the field, having claimed his first victory of the season in the ten-furlong Royal Whip Stakes last month. Melbourne Cup-entrant, Grosvenor Square and British St Leger favourite, Illinois also feature in the entries for Ballydoyle.

Giavellotto has taken his game to a new level this term, winning the Yorkshire Cup and the Prince Of Wales's Stakes, and Marco Botti's stable star sits third in the market. Like Grosvenor Square, Arrest could run in this Classic before heading to Australia for the Melbourne Cup. Willie Mullins' Vauban and Dermot Weld's Harbour Wind also have that huge handicap at Flemington on their agenda.

William Haggas could again be represented by Hamish on Irish Champions Weekend. Karl Burke has handed an entry to five-year-old Al Qareem. Term Of Endearment, Belloccio, Sumiha and German raiders Lordano and Alessio also feature in the betting.
