2022 Irish Oaks Entries
Emily Upjohn would have carried a long odds-on price into Saturday main event. However, in a surprising twist of events, the plane she had been due to catch on Friday was cancelled after being struck by a bird, and John Gosden's filly was unable to find another suitable flight.
With Emily Upjohn now out of the race, Ribblesdale Stakes winner, Magical Lagoon has been installed as the 5/4 favourite. Second in the betting is Ger Lyon's Listed winner, Caire Go Deo, who steps up into Group One company for the first time.
Aidan O'Brien will be represented by Toy, Emily Dickinson and History. Fennela and Show Of Star round off the field.

2022 Irish Oaks Tips
At the prices, the best value bet could be HISTORY, who made an excellent impression on her first start over this trip at Royal Ascot.
Ryan Moore's mount was a little keen early on, as she was held up behind a fairly fast pace. History turned for home in fifth place, as Magical Lagoon hit the front and Aidan O'Brien's filly stayed on down the home straight to finish just three lengths behind the winner in third.
The time they set in the Ribblesdale was a full second quicker than what the colts managed in the King George V Stakes Handicap earlier on that card, so it was a real test of stamina. History took a little longer to get rolling that the top two, but she was doing her best work in the final furlong-and-a-half of that Group Two.
Given that was her first start over this distance, I wouldn't be surprised if History improved for that Ascot run and finished a lot closer to Magical Lagoon, or even turned the tables on her Ribblesdale conquerer.
Verdict
History ran an encouraging race on her first start over this distance in the Ribblesdale, and could hand Aidan O'Brien a record-breaking seventh victory in this Classic.
