Fairview racecourse hosts its usual Friday meeting today, and the first race is set to go off at 11:30am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections for today.

Fairview Tips - Friday 24th July

Race 2 - TIPSY (5)

TIPSY raced from a handy position over 1200m on the polytrack last time, moved up before getting outrun late by Royal Dawn. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Trippi drops to 1000m and the blinkers will sharpen her up. She is a filly with scope and may be the one to beat.

Race 3 - SONG OF MYSELF (2)

SONG OF MYSELF is one of the better bets on the card. She showed a good turn of foot when winning the Non-Black Type East Cape Breeders Stakes last time. She has won three times and finished third once from five starts on this course. The daughter of Canford Cliffs meets a similar line-up and she can follow up with another victory.

Race 4 - CIAN THE CONQUER (8)

CIAN THE CONQUEROR is much better than his last start on the polytrack. He ran a cracker when beaten a head in his penultimate outing over 1400m on this course. Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. It is encouraging that Marco van Rensburg steps back into the saddle. If putting his best foot forward, he can cause a surprise.

Race 7 - GIMMETHATWORLDCUP (3)

GIMMETHATWORLDCUP was an impressive winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1600m on the polytrack last time. He took the lead at the 400m mark that day and drew clear with ease. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but he looks to have class about him and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 8 - TEEREX (2)

TEEREX has good consistent form to his credit. He was running on when fourth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and on the form of his penultimate run when victorious, he should go close.
