Fairview racecourse hosts a rare midweek meeting today, and the first race is set to go off at 11:45am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections for today.

Fairview Tips - Wednesday 9th September

Race 1 - MADRA RUA (1)

MADRA RUA is having his first outing in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Dean Smith. The son of Frankel should be ideally suited to this distance. He gets the cheekpieces fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. If taking to the polytrack, he can shed his maiden tag.

Race 4 - INGQWELE (2)

INGQWELE stayed on when third in the first leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. He drops back in class and can notch up his sixth-career victory.

Race 5 - NEW DAY (3)

NEW DAY is the top bet on the programme. She was an easy winner of her last start over 1400m on this course. She raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of Canford Cliffs will love the rise to 1600m and from her good draw of two, she should take a power of beating.

Race 7 - HONORINE’S GIMMIE (2)

HONORINE‘S GIMMIE has good recent form to his name. He set the pace over this C&D last time before getting outrun late by Diablo. The son of Gimmethegreenlight meets the right field and he can go one better.

Race 8 - MARKETA (2)

MARKETA has faced slightly stronger company in her last two efforts. She finished fourth over 1300m on this course last time. The daughter of One World has won once and finished third three times from eight starts over this distance.
