Kenilworth Tips - Saturday 15th August

Race 1 - RED FLAG (8)

RED FLAG ran a good race when second over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. She had to be steadied at the 800m mark and was reported to be coughing post-race. She is a progressive type and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, she can go one better.

Race 2 - THE US OF A (3)

THE US OF A has decent recent form to his credit. He did not go on with the effort over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. All five of his career victories have come on this course. He meets the right field and can return to winning ways.

Race 3 - CHINWAG (3)

CHINWAG was running on when third in the Listed Irridescence Stakes last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. She is back in Maiden Company and with Callan Murray back in the saddle, she should take a power of beating.

Race 5 - WALOYO YAMONI (4)

WALOYO YAMONI set the pace over 1950m last time, found another kick and drew off in the run down to the line. The son of Trippi received a six-pound penalty for the victory. He should get a good run in transit from Barrier Four and can follow up.

Race 7 - PALACE GIFT (1)

PALACE GIFT finished 3.05 lengths behind MAJOR APOLLO last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. Two of his four career victories have come over this C&D. If all goes according to plan, he may be the one to beat.
