Race 1 - EGOLEE (10)

EGOLEE produced a promising debut effort over 1100m on this course. She raced on the pace, was understandably green in running but tried hard all the way to the line. She steps up to 1200m and gets the services of Richard Fourie. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

Race 2 - PREDATOR’S CROWN (9)

PREDATOR’S CROWN was not disgraced when fourth in the Non-Black Type KZN Breeders Juvenile Plate last time. The daughter of New Predator will strip much fitter. She is back in Maiden Company and should take a power of beating.

Race 3 - PRIZED POSSESSION (2)

PRIZED POSSESSION is the top bet on the programme. He showed pace over 1200m last time, but found one too good in the form of Benny And Paul. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1400m. Gavin Lerena rides from Barrier Two, and he should take a power of beating.

Race 6 - XENOPHON (7)

XENOPHON hails from the visiting Sean Tarry stable. He stayed on when fifth over 1160m at Turffontein last time. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this distance. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Vercingetorix meets the right field and he has a winning chance.

Race 9 - DE GULDEN (13)

DE GULDEN was her own worst enemy in the Listed Amusnet Devon Air Stakes last time as she over raced in the early stages. She ran a good race when third over this distance on the polytrack in her penultimate effort. The daughter of One World has scope and may be the one to side with.
