2026 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Runners
Daryz got the better of Minnie Hauk in a thrilling finish to last year's Arc. Francis Graffard's star has been campaigned mainly over ten furlongs since then, winning the Prix Ganay and the Prix Aga Khan in excellent style, before a third-place finish in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
Aidan O'Brien could send one of his two leading three-year-olds, Diamond Necklace and Constitution River, to the Arc, although both seem unlikely to step up to a mile and a half. Irish Derby winner Benvenuto Cellini would only take up his entry if the ground was to come up on the quick side. Minnie Hauk can currently be backed at 25/1, a price that's sure to collapse if O'Brien's filly wins the Yorkshire Oaks on her next start.
Kalpana beat Calandagan in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, and could return for another crack at the Arc, having finished seventh at Longchamp 12 months ago. Joseph O'Brien has handed an entry to runaway Epsom Oaks winner Thundering On. Francis Graffard could be represented by unbeaten three-year-old filly Behrayna.
David O'Meara could be represented at Longchamp by Pretty Polly Stakes winner Estrange. William Haggas has entered Epsom Derby runner-up and Grand Prix de Paris winner Maltese Cross. Emphatic Coronation Cup winner Bay City Roller seems a likely runner for George Scott. Last year's fifth, Byzantine Dream, is the leading Japanese runner in the betting.
In their quest for a first victory in this famous race, Takarazuka Kinen winner Meisho Tabaru and Tenno Sho third Admire Terra also feature among the Arc entries. Other notable entrants include Dante Stakes winner Item, Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud third Sunly, Cualificar for André and Lavinia Fabre, and Owen Burrows' Listed winner Gethin.
