Daryz got the better of Minnie Hauk to win the 2025 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and returns to Longchamp to defend his crown on Sunday.
Francis Graffard dropped his star colt back to ten furlongs during the first half of this season, and Daryz recorded two sensational victories in the Prix Ganay and the Prix Aga Khan IV. Mickael Barzalona's mount ran a little flat at Royal Ascot, where he finished third behind the superb Ombudsman in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes.
After a short break, Daryz returned to the track with an easy victory over Arc rival Bay City Roller in the Prix Foy. The prospect of good ground at Longchamp will excite the Daryz camp, as the defending champion seems to be getting quicker as he matures.
