2026 Middle Park Stakes Entries

The favourite for this year's Middle Park Stakes is Great Barrier Reef. Aidan O'Brien's colt suffered a set-back after winning the Coventry Stakes, and made a pleasing return to action when second to Push The Boat Out in the Round Tower Stakes.

Push The Boat Out was a 17/2 shot when beating Great Barrier Reef at the Curragh, and Mick O'Callaghan's colt could renew rivalries with the favourite at Newmarket. Charlie Appleby will be represented by Inner City Blues, who steps up to seven furlongs after making it two-from-two in the July Stakes.

William Haggas could be represented by the once-raced Sharadd, who bolted up on debut at Haydock. Joseph O'Brien seems unlikely to run Folsom Blues just two weeks after his runaway success in the National Stakes. Clive Cox's Royal Ascot winner Orthodox, and Aidan O'Brien's Richmond Stakes winner Man's Best Friend will both be looking to bounce back after finishing down the field in the Prix Morny.

Marco Polo and Carry The Flag could act as pacemakers for Ballydoyle's leading contenders. Other potential runners include Simon Crisford's Flann Sunna, Karl Burke's Great Oak, and Zoar for Donnacha O'Brien.
