Race 4 - SKITT SMILING (7)
SKITT SMILING made the expected natural improvement when second over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He was running on too late that day and will love the extra furlong on offer. The son of Skitt Skizzle is a progressive type and can go one better.
Race 5 - SCARLET O’HARA (1)
SCARLET O‘HARA has good consistent form to her credit. She ran on from last when second over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D, three runs ago. Apprentice Divesh Ramkhalawon takes the 4kgs off her back which will assist her cause. She is the class horse in this contest and can notch up her fourth-career victory.
Race 6 - TROMPE L’OEIL (2)
TROMPE L’OEIL followed up his debut victory with a good second-place finish over 1160m at Turffontein. He moved up well before getting outrun late by Sakura Hanami. The son of Gimmethegreenlight will love the drop back to 1000m. He looks to have some class about him and should take a power of beating.
Race 7 - AFTER HOURS (5)
AFTER HOURS tried hard when second over 1600m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Winding Power. Three of his 13 career victories have come over this C&D. He is in a good space and can go one better.
Race 8 - BRAVE WAAM (3)
BRAVE WAAM ran a fair race in his last effort over 1600m at Turffontein. He got the better of Mission To Mars when winning his maiden over 1500m on this course. The son of Hawwaam has plenty of scope and with luck in running, he may be the one to cause the surprise.
