Vaal racecourse hosts a good card today, with the first race set to go off at 11:15am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections this morning.

Vaal Races Tips - Tuesday 22nd September

Race 2 - PITERAQ (1)

PITERAQ tried hard when second over 1000m on this course. That was her first outing for Trainer Fanie Bronkhorst. The daughter of Hawwaam would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and the combination can go one better.

Race 3 - WINTER RAINFALL (2)

WINTER RAINFALL was not beaten far when fourth in the Non-Black Type Betway The Lady’s Stakes last time. She was slow into stride but stayed on nicely at the business end. The daughter of What A Winter has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. She is having her peak effort and can notch up her third-career victory.

Race 4 - BE THE ONE (7)

BE THE ONE tried hard when second over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time, but found one too good in the form of Celtic Manor. The daughter of Futura is a progressive individual. She meets the right field and should take a power of beating.

Race 5 - ONE EYE ON DUBAI (6)

ONE EYE ON DUBAI made the expected natural improvement when second over 1700m on this course last time. He set the pace, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Imyourhuckleberry. The imported son of Almanzor is a progressive type and will love the rise to 2000m. He should get his own way in front once again and can go one better.

Race 8 - THE LAST DUKE (2)

THE LAST DUKE ran a good race when third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He jumped inwards leaving the start and stayed on at the business end. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. If getting away on terms, he can return to winning ways.
