2024 Dubai World Cup Entries
Ushba Tesoro ended Japan's 12-year wait for a second Dubai World Cup win 12 months ago. The defending champion is the bookie's favourite to retain his crown, following an excellent runner-up finish in last month's Saudi Cup.
The big local hope in this year's contest is Doug Watson's Kabirkhan, who scored in a handicap in January before romping to a stunning victory in the Al Maktoum Challenge.
Saudi Cup winner, Senor Buscador will fly the flag for the USA in this year's Dubai World Cup. Derma Sotogake stayed on to finish fifth behind Senor Buscador at Riyadh and he'll join countryman Ushba Tesoro in the field.
Santa Anita Handicap winner, Newgate features in the betting. As does fellow US raider Newgrange, who defeated Newgate when winning the San Pasqual Stakes in January. Former US star, Laurel River could jump back into Grade One company following an emphatic victory in the Burj Nahaar for Bhupat Seemar.
