Auguste Rodin has risen back towards the top of the betting for the 2023 Epsom Derby.
Aidan O'Brien's star impressed as a juvenile colt last season. Auguste Rodin rounded off his two-year-old campaign with a dominant victory in the Vertem Futurity Trophy at Doncaster, after which he was installed as the ante-post favourite for the Epsom Derby.
Auguste Rodin made his reappearance in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. The favourite was well-beaten on the day, but Ryan Moore's mount had a viable excuse, having been impeded by stablemate Little Big Bear at a crucial stage of the race.
Despite that lengthy defeat, Aidan O'Brien's star only strayed away from the top of the Epsom Derby market for a few weeks. Support has already started to arrive for Auguste Rodin ahead of Saturday's Classic and O'Brien's top colt will likely carry the tag of favouritism into this famous contest.
