Saturday's ITV action is headlined by the 2023 Epsom Derby, which goes off at 1:30pm. ITV will be showing all eight races live from Epsom, with the action switching over to ITV4 once the Classic winner has been crowned.

Here are our ITV Racing tips on Epsom Derby day.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 3rd June

Race 1 - Diomed Stakes Tips

After dominating the race during its early years, there hasn't been a three-year-old winner of the Diomed Stakes since 1994. I'm hoping that trend will be bucked on Saturday by KOLSAI (3/1), who'll be getting stacks of weight from a field of mostly out-of-form older horses.

Roger Varian's charge came from the rear to finish second in the Fielden Stakes on his reappearance. A slow start proved costly last time out at Goodwood, where Kolsai again placed second behind the unbeaten Cicero's Gift, who holds multiple Group One entries. David Egan's mount looks well-balanced enough to deal with the rigours of this famous track. Kolsai would be the one for me.

Race 3 - Princess Elizabeth Stakes Tips

After a stinker of a race on her reappearance at Newmarket, I wouldn't be surprised to see the talented SHAARA (10/1) bounce back with a strong showing in this Group Three.

John and Thady Gosden's filly won three times on quick ground last season, including a Listed triumph over Mise En Scene at Yarmouth. Shaara clearly hated soft ground in the Dahlia Stakes and should be well suited by this slight drop back in trip.

Race 4 - 3YO "Dash" Handicap Tips

SWIFT ASSET (14/1) has been tumbling down the weights over the past 12 months. Richard Hannon's charge was handed a mark of 95 early in this juvenile season, but enters the inaugural running of this handicap off a lowly mark of just 80.

Pat Dobbs' mount travelled into the race well at Goodwood last time, but was squeezed out of contention as four runners went for the same gap and failed to recover after that skirmish. If he can bounce back to form, then Hannon's colt could run a mighty race.

Race 5 - Dash Handicap Tips

A typically open renewal of the Dash could go any one of 20 different directions. If you take Caspian Prince's three victories out of the equation, then only three of the last 13 winners have carried more than 9-00 to victory, so it could be sensible to look to those in the bottom half of the weights.

MOKAATIL (12/1) won this race two years ago off a mark of 82 and placed fourth in last year's renewal off a mark of 87. Ian William's sprinter returns to one of his favourite tracks running off 85 and seven-pound claimer Sean Bowen reduces his burden to just 7-11. Another bold showing is expected.

Race 6 - Lester Piggott Handicap Tips

Having refused to race on his first couple of racecourse appearances, SILVER SWORD (12/1) has shaken off his trouble-maker tag with three solid performances.

Dylan Cunha's charge finished just five lengths adrift of Derby contender Military Order in a maiden at Newmarket in October, before following the talented Empress Wu home on his final juvenile outing at Lingfield. Silver Sword opened his account at Southwell in April, handing a sound four-length thrashing to Indiana Bee, who bolted up earlier this week.

South African pilot, Greg Cheyne retains his spot in the saddle and Silver Sword could be well-treated off this opening mark of 82.

Race 7 - Northern Dancer Handicap Tips

CAIUS CHORISTER'S (10/3) five-race winning run last season included two emphatic course-and-distance victories, both secured on good ground.

David Menuisier's four-year-old ran a lovely race on his reappearance here at Epsom, losing out to Bad Company over ten furlongs, and Ryan Moore's mount will be even more effective over this longer trip.

Race 8 - Tokyo Trophy Handicap Tips

A six-time winner on the all-weather, BADRI (10/1) claimed his first turf victory with an emphatic four-length success at Beverley in April.

Ruth Carr's six-year-old ran a very good race behind Bielsa at York last time out, seeing out six furlongs strongly to finish sixth. The handicapper dropped Badri's mark by a pound for that effort and Hollie Doyle's mount is drawn nicely on the high side of the track.
