With Andrea Atzeni now riding in Hong Kong, James Doyle has picked up the plumb ride on the unbeaten Vandeek, who claimed his third victory of the season in the Prix Morny last month. Aidan O'Brien's River Tiber could only finish third that day at Deauville, but the bookmakers currently list the Coventry Stakes winner as the 9/4 joint-favourite, alongside Vandeek.

Clive Cox will be hoping for a better showing from July Stakes winner Jasour, who finished well down the field in the Prix Morny. As did Karl Burke's Elite Status who, like fellow entrant Lake Forest, skipped last weekend's Mill Reef Stakes when the ground came up heavy.

Ralph Beckett could be double-handed in Saturday's second Group One, with Task Force coming in on the back of an impressive Listed win at Ripon. Stablemate Starlust has been supplemented into the Middle Park by owner Fitri Hay, following a hard-fought victory in the Sirenia Stakes.

Paddy Twomey could run Letsbefrankaboutit at the Cambridgeshire Meeting. Battle Cry and Military could join stablemate River Tiber in the field. Jessica Harrington's Givemethebeatboys and Sketch, for Martyn and Freddie Meade, also feature in the betting.
