One of the world's most famous horse races takes place at Churchill Downs on May 7th, as many of North America's best three-year-olds do battle in the Kentucky Derby. 2024 Kentucky Derby Entries

The new favourite for the 2024 Kentucky Derby is Sierra Leone. Chad Brown's colt has only been beaten once in his career so far and jumped to the head of the betting for this Classic after an impressive victory in the Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland.

Todd Pletcher's Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Fierceness sits second in the betting, following a bloodless success in the Florida Derby last month. Stronghold has been well-backed following his victory over favourite Imagination in the Santa Anita Derby. Another local derby winner, Catching Freedom has been supported following his Louisianna Derby success at Fair Grounds.
