Saturday delivers an exciting afternoon for ITV Racing fans, with nine live races across York, Sandown, and Chester before Royal Ascot week. Notable betting tips include Bolo Neighs at Chester, High Degree and Sovereign Ocean at Sandown, and a strong each-way chance on Five Ways at York. Some contests are passed by the tipster in favor of higher value elsewhere, ensuring focus on races with the best opportunities. Key selections target both proven contenders and promising outsiders, offering a balanced betting approach for the televised cards.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 13th June

1:30pm Chester - Saturday Social Handicap Tips

BOLO NEIGHS (11/4) marked his return to turf with a ready victory at Ascot last month, and a lovely low draw in stall three should give the market leader every chance of following up.

Beckett's gelding bolted up in the Goffs Million at the Curragh in 2024, before a narrow defeat at Listed level. Bolo Neighs suffered a setback during his 2025 reappearance at Newmarket, and wasn't seen again until the all-weather season kicked off.

After four sub-par runs on synthetic surfaces, Eddie Greatrex's mount looked much happier back on grass at Ascot, where he clocked an RPR of 98. The handicapper has responded by pushing Bolo Neighs' mark back up to 94, but there's still some wiggle room there, and the conditions of this handicap should certainly suit.

1:50pm York - Queen Mother's Cup Handicap Tips

I rarely bet in the amateur rider races, and I'm happy to give this contest a miss.

2:10pm Chester - Racing Bet Builder Handicap Tips

A ready winner on the all-weather at Lingfield last year, JUST A GIRL (14/1) has bumped into some decent sorts on her two starts since returning to turf.

Charlie Johnston's filly was no match for We're Goosers when second to the 4/11 favourite at Newmarket. Albaydaa then swooped late to snatch a cosy victory over Just A Girl, who made the running and fought back when headed, eventually losing out by just a neck.

Stall five could be the ideal draw for this front-running type, and jockey Sean D Bowen has ridden a handful of winners around this track down the years. I don't think Just A Girl's current price reflects how well she's been running in recent weeks.

2:25pm York - Supporting Macmillan Handicap Tips

Extremely Zain is bound to be popular at the head of the market, given his unbeaten record. However, I'd rather side with the in-form BRIGHTON BOY (16/1) at a double-figure price.

Tim Easterby's four-year-old was a winner at Thirsk on his penultimate start, outmuscling Sergeant Wilko in the closing stages to claim a narrow victory. Brighton Boy then ran another cracker at Chester two weeks later, staying on well down the home straight to get within a neck of Lexington Jet.

David Allen's mount has landed a lovely draw in stall eight today. Brighton Boy has had his mark raised by five pounds for his last couple of efforts, but he's still below the peak rating of 88 that he reached with Andrew Balding.

2:42pm Sandown - Scurry Stakes Tips

I don't fancy anything against the two Godolphin runners at the head of the market for this Listed sprint. I'll pass this one over.

3:17pm Sandown - Handicap Tips

The bookies think that the top three in the betting have this between them, and I agree, as there doesn't seem to be much depth to the contest. HIGH DEGREE (7/2) is clearly held in high regard by connections, and he looks a good bet following an impressive return at Newbury.

William Haggas threw High Degree straight into the Kinsem Handicap at Glorious Goodwood on his handicap debut, where Tom Marquand's mount wasn't beaten far when fifth to Best Secret. High Degree then tried to make all when fourth behind Shout at Ascot, and struggled a little on heavy ground at Doncaster on his final outing of 2025.

Again, Haggas' gelding was backed into favouritism on his reappearance at Newbury. Hand Of God proved a little too classy on the day, but High Degree lost nothing in defeat as he kept on well to finish second. Dropping back to a mile shouldn't be an issue for this talented four-year-old, and High Degree is certainly capable of winning this sort of contest.

3:35pm York - Supporting Macmillan Sprint Handicap Tips

I find sprint handicaps at York to be baffling at the best of times, and this looks to be a complete minefield. I'm going to take a small chance on top-weight FIVE WAYS (25/1), who'll be making his handicap debut.

Andrew Balding's sprinter won the Sirenia Stakes at Kempton last term, before an excellent fourth-placed effort in the Group One Middle Park Stakes. On his return against his elders in the Palace House Stakes, Five Ways made eye-catching late progress to finish a six-length seventh behind the talented winner, Night Raider.

Jason Watson's mount was a big drifter in the build-up to the Sandy Lane Stakes, and ran fairly flat in that Commonwealth Cup trial. Several sprinters have won this contest off a triple-figure mark down the years, and Balding's decision not to book a claimer suggests that he thinks Five Ways has a good chance.

3:55pm Sandown - BetMGM Handicap Tips

Sticktoyourguns tops this betting heat on his seasonal reappearance. SOVEREIGN OCEAN (6/1) will be having his first start of the year too, and Marco Botti's colt warrants respect.

Botti threw his Ten Sovereigns colt into the Acomb Stakes on the back of a narrow maiden win at Musselburgh, and Sovereign Ocean laboured home last behind Gewan. After a break, Benoit De La Sayette's mount survived some trouble in running to make a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day, where he was being eased down as he crossed the line.

Sovereign Ocean is better than a mere all-weather handicapper, and I could see him progressing beyond this mark of 91 over the coming months. If he's ready to rock and roll on his first start of the year, then Botti's runner has to have a chance.
