Longchamp Tips on May 10th - Free guides to the 2026 French 1000 and 2000 Guineas
Longchamp hosts the French 2000 (Poulains) and 1000 Guineas (Pouliches) this Sunday, featuring standout fields. Puerto Rico is the favorite in the Poulains, but Elastic offers E/W value with strong form and a favorable draw. In the Pouliches, top choice Narissa is expected to improve after a solid comeback run and could reverse previous form with Diamond Necklace. Both horses present excellent betting opportunities with promising recent performances.

Longchamp stages the first two Classics of the French racing season on Sunday, with top-quality fields set to line up in the French equivalents of the 2000 and 1000 Guineas.
We've taken a look at both Classics on Longchamp's card this Sunday and picked out our best betting tips.
2:50pm Longchamp - Emirates Essai des Poulains Tips
Puerto Rico is going to take plenty of beating in the French 2000 Guineas. Aidan O'Brien's star boasts by far the best juvenile form, having won the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere and the Critérium International. Ryan Moore's mount has been drawn well in stall seven, and his pacemaker, Dorset, has also landed a nice low draw.
One who could go well at a tasty price is ELASTIC (20/1). Christophe Ferland's colt did well as a juvenile, winning the Prix Kendor at Saint-Cloud before a narrow defeat to Brian Meehan's Oceans Four in the Group Three Prix des Chênes at Chantilly.
Elastic returned to action with a Listed victory at Saint-Cloud, where Ferland's charge made most of the running and held on well. Stephane Pasquier's mount could then only finish third in the Prix de Fontainebleau, where he was a little disappointing, but tests afterwards showed that something was amiss.
Ferland has been quoted as saying that Elastic has worked well since that defeat, and Pasquier will be delighted with his draw in stall six.
3:25pm Longchamp - Emirates Poule d'Essai des Pouliches Tips
The bookies clearly think Aidan O'Brien will win both Classics this weekend, as Diamond Necklace is a short-priced favourite for the French 1000 Guineas. However, I'm quite keen on NARISSA (5/1), who has been learning on the job during the first year of her career.
Francis Graffard's filly defied greenness to win emphatically on her debut at Saint-Cloud. Narissa couldn't pick up well enough to chase Green Spirit down in the Prix Six Perfections, and then tried to make all in the Prix d'Aumale, but was run down late by that same rival.
Mickael Barzalona reverted to more patient tactics in the Prix Marcel Boussac. Narissa picked up well from the rear, but was forced widest of all to mount her challenge, and eventually crossed the line just two lengths adrift of Diamond Necklace and the front-running Green Spirit.
Graffard was keen to get Narissa settled on her return in the Prix de la Grotte, and Barzalona dropped his mount right out the back. Again, Narissa found plenty in the closing stages, running past Green Spirit easily, but Evolutionist got first run on the runner-up and kept on well to claim an impressive win.
Karl Burke's filly boosted that form with an excellent effort in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, and Graffard seemed delighted with Narissa's comeback effort. Barzalona will have to drop in again from stall nine, but I'd expect Narissa to come home best, and she might even be able to reverse the Marcel Boussac form with Diamond Necklace.
