2027 Champion Hurdle Key Contenders

Having finally been given the green light to run in the Champion Hurdle, Lossiemouth produced a dominant performance to claim her fourth successive Cheltenham Festival title.

Earlier on the same card, Old Park Star won the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, and seems likely to go down the Arkle route next season. Willie Mullins won the Turners' Novices' Hurdle with King Rasko Grey, and said that his youngster could be pointed at the Champion Hurdle next season.

Narciso Has was the short-priced favourite for the Triumph Hurdle before suffering a set-back. Alexei ran a blinder to finish fourth in the Champion Hurdle, and could have another crack at Lossiemouth next season. Beaten favourite, The New Lion could return for another crack, along with the Skelton's Stayers' Hurdle runner Kabral Du Mathan.

Shock Triumph Hurdle winner, Apolon De Charnie can be backed at 20/1 for the 2027 Champion Hurdle. Brighterdaysahead is available at a similar price. Other potential runners include State Man, Mighty Park, Sober Glory and Wilful.
