The opening chase at the Cheltenham Festival is the Arkle Challenge Trophy, a two-mile Grade One for novices'. 12 top novices remained in the field after the seven-day declarations. Let's take a look through the latest betting.

Racing fans were delighted when the leading three contenders for this year's Arkle remains in the running on Wednesday. Topping the betting is last year's Supreme winner Shishkin, who can be found at 10/11 with Betfair.

Willie Mullins' Energumene bolted up in a Grade One on his most recent start, and he sits second in the betting. Allmankind will bid for his second Grade One of the season in the Arkle, and Dan Skelton's star currently sits on 13/2.

The third Grade One-winning chaser in the field is Franco De Port, and he could join Energumene in the field. Willie Mullins could also be represented by Blackbow.

Captain Guinness and Darver Star has been handed an Arkle entry, as have Felix Desky and Embittered.

Sky Pirate could head to the Arkle, if connections don't fancy a tilt at the Grand Annual. Eldorado Allen and Numitor could bolters the British challenge on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.
