2026 Mares' Hurdle Entries
Lossiemouth has romped to victory in that last two renewals of the Mares' Hurdle. With stablemate State Man injured, Willie Mullins' mare looked to be Champion Hurdle-bound this term, but defeat to Brighterdaysahead at the Dublin Racing Festival looks likely to sway Mullins into running his mare against her own sex once again.
Wodhooh bolted up in the Martin Pipe last season, and did top the Mares' Hurdle betting following three further victories this season. Her stablemate, Brighterdaysahead also holds a Mares' Hurdle entry, but seems much more likely to enter the Champion Hurdle after beating Lossiemouth at Leopardstown.
There's then a sizeable gap in the market until you reach last year's runner-up Jade De Grugy, who has been jumping fences this term. Third in 2025, Take No Chances is a probable runner again for Dan Skelton, who could also be represented by course winner Nurse Susan. Feet Of A Dancer finished fourth in the Pertemps Final at last year's Cheltenham Festival, and has gone on to claim Listed honours on home soil this term.

Like stablemate Jade De Grugy, Kargese has been entered here despite running in novice chases so far this season. Emmet Mullins could be represented by Listed winner Dream On Baby. Other possible runners include Paul Nicholls' Jubilee Alpha, Grade One-winning juvenile Murcia, Ruth Jefferson's Lavida Adiva, and Jetara for Jessica Harrington.
