Since the turn of the century, only two horses have won a qualifier and gone on to claim Festival glory in the Final. Maxxum and Cuthbert Dibble are the highest-placed of the qualifier winners in the betting. Gaoth Chuil, who finished a close second behind Maxxum in the Leopardstown qualifier, is currently the market leader.

Nicky Henderson's Chantry House and Willie Mullins' Icare Allen could fly the flag for owner, JP McManus in the Pertemps Final. Defending champion, Good Time Jonny sits prominently in the betting, along with Cleatus Poolaw, but both will need to secure a top-four finish in the final qualifier at Naas this weekend to earn a spot in the field.

Jonjo O'Neill's Springwell Bay brings course-winning form into the final, as does White Rhino for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero. Nicky Henderson's Hyland has also scored at Cheltenham this season and he could be joined in the final by stablemate Bold Endeavour, who finished fifth in last season's Coral Cup.

Walking On Air, Will Do and Monmiral will be hoping to qualify for the final this weekend. Other possible runners on day three of the Cheltenham Festival include Alan King's Emitom, Farouk D'alene for Gordon Elliott, Christian William's Lord Snootie and Fergal O'Brien's former runner-up, Alaphilippe.
