In just over two hour's time, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe takes place at Paris-Longchamp racecourse.

The betting for Europe's most prestigious flat race is really starting to come alive now. Here are three runners who've made serious moves in the 2023 Arc betting.

Arc Market Mover - Through Seven Seas

Despite winning almost every major prize on offer in the world of flat racing, Japan has yet to celebrate a victory in the Arc. Punters are backing that to change this afternoon, as THROUGH SEVEN SEAS has been backed from 12s into 9/1 with some firms.

Tomohito Ozeki's mare was last seen finishing on the tail of superstar Equinox in the Takarazuku Kinen where she, like the winner, endured a troubled passage through the contest. The unusually quick ground at Longchamp this weekend will certainly be to Through Seven Seas liking and she could soon leapfrog the likes of Hukum and Continuous in the market.

Arc Market Mover - Place Du Carrousel

Mares have a good recent record in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and another of this year's female entrants, PLACE DU CARROUSEL is being backed by each-way punters.

An impressive winner of a red-hot Prix de l'Opera on this card last season, Place Du Carrousel won a key trial for the Arc last time out, beating Group One winner Iresine in the Prix Foy. Andre Fabre's contender could have been backed at 25/1 this morning, but now Mickael Barzalona's mount is as short as 18/1 in the Arc betting.

Arc Market Mover - Free Wind

The Frankie factor is kicking in at Paris-Longchamp. Dettori, having his final ride in Europe's most prestigious flat race, will partner FREE WIND for John & Thady Gosden and she's been backed into 16/1 from 25s this morning.

After a couple of disappointing defeats at Ascot and Goodwood, Free Wind bounced back to top form with an excellent runner-up finish to Warm Heart in the Yorkshire Oaks last time out. Dettori has won a number of Group Twos on this hardy mare and plenty of punters fancy Free Wind could make the breakthrough at Group One level this afternoon.
