2026 Irish Derby Entries

Christmas Day ran out an impressive winner of the Derby at Epsom earlier this month, and Aidan O'Brien's star could attempt to complete the Derby double on Sunday. Benvenuto Cellini was sent off as the favourite at Epsom, but Ryan Moore's mount got its foot stuck in the stalls, was very slowly away as a result, and was deemed a non-runner.

Raaheeb impressed when winning the Classic trial at Sandown, and Owen Burrows has targeted this Classic since. James J Braddock could represent Joseph O'Brien after a third-place finish in the Derby at Epsom. Donnacha O'Brien, meanwhile, could run Prix du Jockey Club fourth A Boy Named Susie.

Aidan O'Brien holds a vast array of other entries. Prix du Jockey Club second Hawk Mountain could step up in trip, as could the third from that French Classic, Montreal. Epsom seventh Pierre Bonnard remains in contention, along with stablemates Action, New Zealand and Isaac Newton.

Ralph Beckett has entered Epsom fourth Bay Of Brilliance. King Edward VII Stakes runner-up Ancient Egypt could represent Amo Racing. Joseph O'Brien's Handshake and Dermot Weld's Almazann have also been handed an entry.
