50 days after the British equivalent took place at Epsom, some of the sport's top fillies will battle it out in the Irish Oaks this weekend. As with all of the Classics in Britain and Ireland, Aidan O'Brien's record in the Irish Oaks is excellent and it's no surprise to see his top filly dominating the market.

Here's our free guide to the 2023 Irish Oaks, including our best betting tips.

Savethelastdance announced her arrival in the Classic scene at Chester in May, running away with the Chester Vase. Aidan O'Brien's filly was narrowly beaten by Soul Sister in the Epsom Oaks, but most bookies still list Ryan Moore's mount as the odds-on favourite.

Ribblesdale winner Warm Heart sits closest to her market-topping stablemate. Be Happy makes her first appearance since her runner-up finish in the Oaks Trial at Epsom. Library completes the Ballydoyle quartet that will contest Saturday's Classic.

Lumiere Rock followed Warm Heart home in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot and Joseph O'Brien's filly will step up to Group One company for the first time. As does Ralph Beckett's Bluestocking, who stayed on from off the pace to finish third in the Ribblesdale.

Dermot Weld drops Azazat back in with her own age group, following an excellent second in the Munster Oaks last time out. Irish 1000 Guineas third, Comhra is the eighth and final entrant.

2023 Irish Oaks Tips

Last month's Irish Derby further illustrated the need to be up with the pace at the Curragh. Adelaide River made the running ahead of Auguste Rodin and, although the Epsom Derby winner eventually got up to win, Seamie Heffernan's mount was only beaten a length-and-a-half - compared to the 11-length deficit between the two at Epsom.

While Bluestocking remains an improving filly worth following, her tendency to start races slowly has to be a worry. Dylan Browne McMonagle will try to take close order aboard Lumiere Rock, but whether she has the class to hang with the Ballydoyle runners ahead of her in the market, I'm not so sure.

Although Savethelastdance was very slowly away when winning at Chester, that was somewhat of an anomaly compared to her other runs this term. Aidan O'Brien's filly made all to win a maiden at Leopardstown and Ryan Moore rode the favourite positively in the Epsom Oaks, where the ground was clearly too fast for her liking.

On softer going, Savethelastdance is a worthy favourite. However, stablemate WARM HEART seems to be improving at a rate of knots and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she managed to upset the market leader.

Having gotten the better of Bluestocking in a Listed race at Newbury, Ryan Moore gave Warm Heart a magnificent ride in the Ribblesdale. Recognising the early pace was extremely sedate, Moore pushed his mount into a prominent position on the approach to the bend and Warm Heart comfortably won the sprint to the finish, hitting the line hard to complete a hat-trick in style.

Seamie Heffernan rode Seventh Heaven to Irish Oaks glory in 2016. He's also won the Irish Derby on four occasions and almost pinched the victory aboard Adelaide River in last month's renewal. Seamie knows exactly how to ride this tricky track and Warm Heart is good enough to hand him a 12th Classic victory at the home of Irish flat racing.
