The feature race of the Punchestown Festival takes place on day two, as many of the sport's best chasers do battle in the Punchestown Gold Cup. This Grade One has been won by legends like Arkle during it's history and Galopin Des Champs will carry a short price into this year's renewal.

Let's take a look through the latest Punchestown Gold Cup betting and run through the headline entries.

Galopin Des Champs was thwarted in his quest for a third-straight Cheltenham Gold Cup by Inothewayurthinkin, who powered home to claim a tremendous victory. Gavin Cromwell's star is done for the season and two-time Punchestown Gold Cup winner, Fastorslow is still out injured, leaving Galopin Des Champs as the 6/4 favourite to win this race for the first time.

Spillane's Tower was due to run in the Bowl at Aintree earlier this month, but was taken out by Jimmy Mangan on account of the ground. In his absence, Gaelic Warrior went on to beat Grey Dawning and both he and Spillane's Tower have been entered against Galopin Des Champs at Punchestown.

Fast spring ground would suit Banbridge, who won the Champion Chase at this meeting 12 months ago. Henry De Bromhead has entered Monty's Star, despite a fairly length defeat behind Inothewayurthinkin and the market leader at Cheltenham.

Grand National hero, Nick Rockett has been entered by Willie Mullins, as has the third in that historic handicap at Aintree, Grangeclare West. Other potential runners at the Punchestown Festival include Gold Cup third Gentlemansgame, Vincent Halley's stable star Senecia, Jungle Boogie for Henry De Bromhead, and Willie Mullins' Il Etait Temps, who hasn't been seen since suffering a set-back during the off-season.
