Betr is the name for a consortium of individuals and companies, set up to make a move into the online wagering space in Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian BetR brand is not to be confused with the Betr.app betting app launched in the United States by Jake Paul.

Matt Tripp, former head of Sportsbet and BetEasy, has joined forced with sports-gambling company Tekkorp. News Corp Australia are also involved in this venture.

It was reported that Betmakers would be providing the technology to power the BetR betting site, as it does with TexBet, an existing sportsbook that this new company has taken over.

Tekkorp are already one of the biggest shareholders in BetMakers, although owner Matt Davey stepped down from the BetMakers board on the back of the launch of Betr.

It was a smart move for BetR to take over TexBet. In doing so, they have an established betting site catering for racing and sports punters with a wealth of markets.
