How Betting at Moon.com Works
Placing a wager starts by choosing an available asset and deciding whether its price will move Up or Down. You then enter your stake and select the leverage you want to use, subject to the limits available for that market.
For example, a $100 wager at 10x leverage creates $1,000 of effective market exposure. A 1% price movement would therefore produce an approximate 10% movement in the position's value before applicable fees and execution effects.
Leverage magnifies losses in exactly the same way. Moon limits the maximum loss on an individual position to the original wager, but high leverage means even a small adverse price movement can wipe out that amount.
