Individual event coverage is acceptable but some way off of that found at bet365. For instance, whilst reviewing Betfred was offering live betting on 5 football matches compared to 9 on bet365. There were 15 tennis matches on Betfred but 39 on bet365. Market depth was also lacking (in comparison to bet365) on the majority of games as well.

Website/Usability


In our opinion, Betfred’s website is in need on a serious update. Navigation is made difficult by the limited listings on the menu. For example, looking under football, you have tabs for European and ROTW (Rest of the World) leagues and cups. These only list a small number of countries in each. However, when you then view upcoming matches, you see games from countries that are not listed. It’s all rather messy.

Yet, even worse is when you are viewing the markets looking for what bets to place. The screen simply cuts off, so you need to compress all the markets at the top to view the ones at the bottom. It just is not user friendly. Fortunately, placing a bet is easy enough (once you’ve found your markets). It is quick and responsive, so we’ve no complaints on that score.

Punters who like to bet on the go can download the Betfred mobile app which is available on iOS and Android devices. It has a simple layout which makes it more user-friendly than the web-based betting platform.
