Borgata Sports Review

Residents in Atlantic City will be familiar with the name Borgata. The 2,000 room Borgata resort at Renaissance Pointe wouldn’t be out of place in Las Vegas.

Clicking the ‘live’ icon in the header menu will take you to the Borgata Sport in-play section. The Event View can be a little chaotic if there are lots of matches to choose from, so select the Overview. The Borgata Sport website is laid out in a different way to most of the top sportsbooks. The popular sporting categories are listed in the sidebar and also displayed as a header menu, but clicking ‘A-Z Sports’ will bring up all the options in a separate window. 

After selecting your chosen sport, however, it’s business as usual. Any national or league options are listed in the sidebar and the available matches are displayed in the centre of the screen. The pages are well designed, not too cluttered, and everything is clearly laid out.

Surprisingly for a US sportsbook, no horse racing betting is available, which we feel is a big oversight. There are, however, a decent range of other sporting markets.

Football is the big draw at Borgata Sport, with the NFL and NCAA at the top of the ‘popular’ list in the sidebar. CFL games are also covered, but they will only offer the moneyline, spread, and totals markets.

Baseball is second on the ‘top sports’ list at Borgata. Although it is very popular in other countries, Borgata Sport currently only covers MLB matches. The depth of choice is good however, with around 30 markets per match as well as outrights such as “World Series winner’. 

The basketball category currently only covers the NBA, but once again there is good market depth. Each match will have 35 markets or thereabouts, covering all the usual main, totals, and points bets. There are also specials wagers, such as ‘will the match go to overtime?’ and outright bets for the division winners.

Although soccer may not be the most popular sport at Borgata, it certainly has the most coverage. There are an incredible 24 countries to choose from, many of them containing multiple leagues. There are also European and World competitions such as the Champions League, Europa League, and World Cup. The market depth is also impressive, with big English Premier League matches having over 160 available markets.

The NHL category actually covers the NHL and AHL, as well as outright bets for the Olympics and World Championships. NHL matches will often have 60 markets available, but this will drop to around 20 for the AHL games. There are also outrights covering the conference winners, division winners, and the overall Stanley Cup winner, as well as the Hart Trophy and the Vezina trophy.
