Vaal Races Tips - Thursday 28th November
Race 2 - DYLAN’S CHAMP (3)
DYLAN‘S CHAMP showed good improvement in his last start over 1700m on this course. Despite an awkward start, he set the pace before getting caught in the shadow of the post. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Piere Strydom is booked to ride and he can go one better.
Race 4 - LAST CAR TO PASS (1)
LAST CAR TO PASS followed up her impressive debut victory with a good third-place finish over 1600m at Turffontein. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Heavenly Blue should love the rise to 1800m and with Piere Strydom in the saddle, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 5 - BUFFALO STORM CODY (1)
BUFFALO STORM CODY is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He stayed on at the finish over 1100m last time, but found one too good in the form of Elegant Ice. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is making his Handicap debut. He should enjoy the rise to 1400m and can notch up his second-career victory.
Race 6 - TWICE AS WILD (8)
TWICE AS WILD tried hard when second over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili which will assist her cause. The daughter of Twice Over can notch up her third-career victory.
Race 7 - JUST THE TWO OF US (5)
JUST THE TWO OF US is better than her last start suggests. She won a good race in her penultimate outing over this distance on the Classic course. The daughter of Oratorio is having her peak run today and she should be cherry-ripe. Kabelo Matsunyane is booked to ride and she may be hard to peg back.
