The 2026 Tattersall's Tiara, Australia’s season-closing Group 1 for mares and fillies, takes place Saturday, June 27 at Eagle Farm. This year’s race features a strong field, with leading chances including Within The Law (each-way best bet), Manaal (each-way contender with strong second-up record), and Blindedbythelight (value chance). All three offer genuine winning prospects, thanks to their recent form and race conditions. Punters should note the competitive field and current odds to make the most of their wagers.

The Tattersall's Tiara closes out the Australian racing season on Saturday, June 27, with a strong field of mares joined by one talented filly for Brisbane's final Group 1 feature of the carnival.

Contested over 1400m at Eagle Farm under weight-for-age conditions, the Tattersall's Tiara has long been a target race for the nation's leading female gallopers, often producing a fascinating clash between established Group performers and mares peaking at the right time of year.

2026 Tattersall's Tiara Tips

2026 Tattersall's Tiara Best Bet - Within The Law

Perhaps we went a run too early with her second-up in the Gunsynd Classic, where she was stretched to a mile, but that market respect was certainly warranted off her terrific chasing efforts in the Fred Best Classic.

To be fair, she bumped into Skyhook last time out, a talented youngster whose penny is really starting to drop.

There were also excuses in her March 21 return at Group 3 level in Sydney, where she was fresh before being quickly spelled with the Brisbane Winter Carnival clearly in mind.

A shot at the stumps through the Stradbroke Handicap would likely have been on the cards had she taken out the Fred Best Classic, although this Group 1 against her own sex has looked the target for some time.

It's an even affair, though she could well be the one ready to peak third-up, with the drop back in distance and firmer ground both potential positives for the Bjorn Baker-trained filly.
2026 Tattersall's Tiara Next Best Bet - Manaal

The trials were nothing to write home about, but the Morton Cup resumption was terrific from Manaal, finishing third-of-11 in the 1200m feature on June 6 despite being held up at key stages late.

The four-year-old boasts an excellent second-up record, with three wins and a second from five attempts.

Manaal is a two-time winner at this distance, the first coming at Group 1 level as a juvenile when taking out the Inglis Sires'.

Her most recent success at the trip came in the Gold Pendant during the spring, a race of similar depth to what she meets here.

Like Within The Law, she appears one of the few runners still capable of improvement this campaign, making her a major player with natural progression from that first-up effort.
2026 Tattersall's Tiara Value Bet - Blindedbythelight

After rounding out her spring with a narrow Group 3 defeat, her Group 2 resumption in the Emancipation Stakes was excellent, finishing runner-up Idle Flyer, who won the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes at her next appearance.

Blindedbythelight then endured no luck via the Queen Of The South in Adelaide, where the result failed to reflect her actual performance.

There was a month between runs before heading to Doomben, where she was dragged back from a wide alley and still found the line nicely.

Arguably her poorest run of the campaign came over a mile at Eagle Farm on June 6, although she was beaten only a touch over a length after looming into the race.

The blinkers go on here and barrier one should provide every opportunity, making the daughter of Seamus Award an interesting each-way contender at generous odds.
