2022 Epsom Derby Entries
After ante-post favourite Luxembourg was ruled out through injury, the betting for this year's Derby is headed by Desert Crown. Sir Michael Stoute's charge claimed his second-straight victory with a superb performance in the Dante Stakes, and QuinnBet list Desert Crown as their 2/1 favourite.
Prior to the Dante, Aidan O'Brien had dominated the Epsom Derby Trials, both in England and at home in Ireland. Stone Age had jumped to the top of the betting prior to the Dante, after bolting up in the big trial at Leopardstown this weekend. Changingoftheguard also sits prominently in the Epsom betting, after beating New London in the Chester Vase.
Star Of India thrust his hat into the Derby picture by winning the Dee Stakes during Chester's May Festival. United Nations then saw off Walk Of Stars in the Lingfield Derby Trial and he too was cut towards the head of the Derby betting.

The youngest of Aidan's two sons, Donnacha O'Brien could throw Ballysax Stakes winner Piz Badile into the mix. Joseph O'Brien could be represented by Buckaroo, who finished second to Piz Badile in the Ballysax before bolting up over a mile in the Tetrarch Stakes last time out.
Charlie Appleby has Walk Of Stars and Nahanni entered up, and could supplement runaway Newmarket Stakes winner, Nations Pride into the Derby mix. Westover got the better of Cash when they met in the Sandown Derby Trial last month, and both look likely to take up their Classic entries.
Guineas fourth Eydon could step up in trip at Epsom. Other possible runners at the 2022 Epsom Derby Festival include Dante runner-up Royal Patronage, Lysander for the in-form William Haggas, and Andrew Balding's duo of Masekela and Hoo Ya Mal.
