The 2026 Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham features Idaho Sun as the early favourite, following a Grade One win in the Formby at Aintree last season, despite missing the second half of that campaign through injury. Other prominent entries include Harry Lowes, Helnwein—who was runner-up last year—Minella Yoga, Mossy Fen Road, Let It Rain, and All In You, who recently won at Aintree. The field is further strengthened by previous winners such as Burdett Road, as well as contenders like Mondo Man and Pioneer Pete, promising a highly competitive race.

The November Meeting draws to a close at Cheltenham on Sunday afternoon, where the card is headlined by the Greatwood Hurdle. This Grade Three handicap was often used as a launching pad for Champion Hurdle hopefuls, with the likes of Rooster Booster and Sizing Europe winning this handicap before collecting Grade One honours later in the season.

Here's the latest betting for the Greatwood, and a look through the headline entries.

2026 Greatwood Handicap Hurdle Entries

Idaho Sun leads the betting for this Premier Handicap. Harry Fry's second-season novice claimed Grade One honours in the Formby at Aintree last season, but missed the second half of the campaign through injury.

Harry and Dan Skelton will team up with the progressive Harry Lowes. Alan King's Helnwein finished second to the exceptionally well-handicapped Alexei 12 months ago and returns for another crack at the Greatwood.

Paul Nicholls has a history of winning this race with four-year-olds and could be represented this year by the classy Minella Yoga. Mossy Fen Road is a likely runner for Harry Derham, while Skelton could also be represented by talented seven-year-old mare Let It Rain.

All In You
could be out again quickly after claiming an easy victory at Aintree this Friday. Josh and Jamie Moore have handed an entry to Imperial Cup winner Mondo Man. The Hardest Geezer could return to Cheltenham after a narrow defeat at the Showcase Meeting.

The 2024 winner, Burdett Road, could represent James Owen again. Other potential runners include Welsh Champion Hurdle winner Pioneer Pete, The Kemble Brewery for Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls, Olly Murphy's Indeevar Bleu, and Nicky Henderson's duo of Manlaga and Iberico Lord.
