The Festive Four

Kempton, Chepstow and Newbury will stage four consecutive days of televised jump racing this Christmas under a new programme called the Festive Four.

Running from Boxing Day through to December 29, the initiative brings together four major fixtures, with each meeting headlined by one of the festive season’s leading races. All four days will be shown live on ITV.

Kempton retains its traditional December 26 and 27 dates, with the King George VI Chase topping the Boxing Day card. The Kauto Star Novices’ Chase will take centre stage on the second afternoon.

The Welsh Grand National meeting at Chepstow will take place on December 28, before attention turns to Newbury for the Challow Hurdle on December 29.

The programme gives each of the four feature races its own day in the spotlight, offering viewers a continuous run of major jump racing over Christmas.
