The highlight of Beverley's year takes place on Sunday, as a classy field of sprinters takes part in the Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes. Group One winners Alpha Delphini and Borderlescott feature on the honours boards at Beverley and a quality line-up looks set to run in this year's renewal.
The field for this year's Beverley Bullet is yet to be confirmed, but I'm away this weekend so I've picked out my best betting tips nice and early.

2026 Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes Runners
Sprint king Robert Cowell will be represented by Jakajaro, who skipped the Nunthorpe to target this Listed prize. Shagraan bolted up in this race for Mick Appleby 12 months ago, but is yet to put his best foot forwards since joining Clive Cox at the start of the season.
Jm Jungle looks set for a quick reappearance, having finished seventh in the Nunthorpe on day three of the Ebor Festival. Ain't Nobody and Heavenly Heather both finished down the field in the Nunthorpe, but have been confirmed for Beverley by their respective connections.
Tom Eaves will ride Washington Heights for Kevin Ryan, with Shane Gray partnering with the stable's supposed second-strong Dickensian. Karl Burke's Miss Yechance could step into Listed company following an impressive handicap triumph at York. David Allan rides course winner Argentine Tango for Tim Easterby.
Ed Bethell's Fluorescence beat Michael Herrington's in-form nine-year-old Badri in a handicap at Pontefract recently, and both have been entered at Beverley. Mick Appleby has handed an entry to recent all-weather winner Al Shabab Storm. Other likely runners include Ben Haslam's filly Beaujolais Nouveau, Dream Composer for Tony Carroll, and Law Of Average for Chelsea Banham.
2026 Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes Tips
Rain has been forecast at Beverley on Thursday, Friday and even Saturday. It is possible that Sunday's going will be good-to-soft, which would suit defending champion SHAGRAAN (13/2).
Shagraan ended his time with Mick Appleby in excellent form last autumn, winning here at Beverley, and in the Rous Stakes at Ascot, which was run on genuinely soft ground. Clive Cox's recruit ran well on his reappearance at Newmarket in May, crossing the line just three lengths adrift of the excellent Night Raider, but things haven't gone to plan since.
PJ McDonald's mount was tailed off in the Temple Stakes, with connections claiming that the drying ground was to blame. Shagraan wasn't mentioned in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot, and found himself boxed in on the rail for much of the Coral Charge, having been drawn in stall one.
Cox then decided to bypass the King George and the Nunthorpe in favour of a return to Beverley. Shagraan clearly likes this track, and it's a race that Cox has a good record in, having won it three times in a row between 2021 and '23.

I'd also give another chance to ARGENTINE TANGO (20/1), who I thought was decent value when I backed her at 33/1 for the King George at Goodwood.
As it turned out, Tim Easterby's filly drifted out to 100/1 before the race and ran accordingly. Argentine Tango looked badly outpaced throughout, and only managed to beat one horse home in finishing seven lengths behind American Affair.
Argentine Tango had run out an impressive winner of the Listed Land O'Burns Fillies Stakes at Ayr on her previous start. In hindsight, softer ground in Scotland clearly suited Easterby's three-year-old well, and backing her on rapid ground at Goodwood five weeks later was a mistake.
Conditions should be much more suitable for Argentine Tango on Sunday. David Allan's mount is a former winner at this unique track, and Easterby's three-year-old is a proven winner at this level.
