Ayr racecourse stages its biggest card of the year on Saturday, where the Scottish Grand National headlines the action. Along with five races from Ayr, ITV Racing viewers will head down to Newbury for three strong handicaps.

SEBASTOPOL ended a 12-race losing streak in excellent style at Kempton two weeks ago. Tom Lacey's eight-year-old demolished his rivals in what looked, on paper, to be a very competitive affair, cruising to victory with plenty left up his sleeve.
The runner-up that day, Golden Boy Grey came out and beat the classy Thyme White earlier in the week, boosting Sebastopol's victory. The handicapper has chucked Stan Sheppard's mount up the weights by eight pounds, but top-weight didn't stop Sebastopol at Kempton and I doubt it'll be his undoing on Saturday.

Winner of a Listed bumper last season, RAINYDAY WOMEN notched up a quick hat-trick over hurdles back in December. Paul Nicholls' mare twice won comfortably at Wincanton, before claiming another Listed prize at Taunton, where Mares' Novices' Hurdle runner-up Ahorsewithnoname finished a distant third.
Harry Cobden's mount then hated heavy ground at Lingfield during the Winter Millions' Meeting, where she was also suffering from an irregular heartbeat. It's interesting to see Nicholls pitch his mare in with the boys over a tilt at the Grade Two later on the card. He must feel this race is a little less competitive.

17 days ago, Dusart plugged on through rain-sodden ground to finish a respectable fifth in the Brown Advisory Chase at Cheltenham. That race is bound to have left a mark on a gelding who's proven to be fairly fragile, so I'm happy to take the favourite on.
LORD ACCORD ran well in a three-mile handicap hurdle here at Ayr last spring and has been very consistent over fences, winning two of his four starts. Neil Mulholland's seven-year-old didn't jump fluently on soft ground at Doncaster last time out. Saturday's conditions will be much more suitable and Lord Accord appeals each way, so long as three paid places remain available.

Another who appeals at an each way price is PSYCHEDELIC ROCK, who was just starting to make inroads in this race 12 months ago before falling at the fourth-last. Ian Williams' teenager went into last year's final on the back of a win, and went on to score twice more on good ground at Kempton later in the spring.
Psychedelic Rock was pulled up on his first couple of starts this season, both coming on heavy ground. Williams' charge ran better when fourth behind Glen Forsa last time out at Musselburgh, where he jumped a little out to his left throughout. Fergus Gregory's mount returns to Newbury seven pounds lower in the handicap and the ground has come up in his favour.

ANNA BUNINA was my selection in this race 12 months ago, and only the impressive Milkwood was able to beat John McConnell's mare.
Since then, Anna Bunina has been beaten three times here in the UK, twice around Musselburgh and once in the Grade Two Yorkshire Rose Mares' Hurdle. Those defeats mean Sean Bowen's mount returns to Ayr five pounds lower in the weights and with nine pounds less on her back. She could go well again at a decent price.

After starting the season running in bumpers, GOOD LUCK CHARM made a winning hurdles debut over 21 furlongs at Hereford back in January. Anthony Honeyball's mare then finished second under a penalty to the strong-staying Eureka Creek at Ffos Las, where she recovered well after a bad mistake in the middle of that race.
Good Luck Charm then proved she was a hardy mare by winning back down over two miles at Exeter last time out. The handicapper has pushed her mark up by six pounds for that win, but she remains unexposed and this step back up in trip is sure to suit.

While I'm wary of Minella Drama, that five-pound penalty the favorite has to carry could open the door for DO YOUR JOB to end an excellent novice chase campaign with a Grade Two triumph.
Michael Scudamore's eight-year-old won on debut at Warwick, before finishing second behind Edwardstone and Third Time Lucki in a couple of Graded races over two miles. Despite a couple of notable blunders, Richard Patrick's mount scored in a two-and-a-half-mile handicap at Newcastle last time out, where he was giving plenty of weight to some experienced rivals.
That experience will stand Do Your Job in excellent stead as he returns to novice company and he'll relish the quicker ground conditions at Ayr.
