On Sunday morning, the final fields were confirmed for the seven races on day one of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.

Odds-on favourite, Constitution Hill will face six rivals in the 2023 renewal of the Champion Hurdle. Willie Mullins accounts for the second and third favourites, with State Man and Vauban sitting closest to Constitution Hill in the market.

The Twiston-Davies's team up with Greatwood winner I Like To Move It, while Davy Russell rides Zanahiyr for Gordon Elliott. Philip Kirby's Jason The Militant and Hughie Morrison's Not So Sleepy complete the field.

Paul Townend will ride Facile Vega into this year's Supreme. Marine Nationale heads a chasing pack of 13 confirmed entrants, which includes three of the favourite's stablemates, Il Etait Temps, Diverge and Dark Raven.

With the ground now likely to be soft throughout Cheltenham week, Henry De Bromhead has rerouted Inthepocket to the Supreme from the Ballymore. Paul Nicholls' Tahmuras is the highest of the home runners in the betting. High Definition, Doctor Bravo, Chasing Fire and Rare Edition have been confirmed.

The mouthwatering clash between Jonbon and El Fabiolo is on after both featured in the field field for the Arkle. Willie Mullins will also run Dysart Dynamo, Saint Roi and Ha D'Or, with Gordon Elliott's Hollow Games also confirmed in the field.

Shiela Lewis has handed a speculative entry to course winner Straw Fan Jack. Sam Drinkwater's Ballybreeze and Cian Collins' Effernock Fizz will also take their chance on day one.

After weeks of teasing a sensational switch to the Stayers' Hurdle, Nicky Henderson confirmed Marie's Rock in the field for the Mares' Hurdle on Sunday. Henderson will also run Epatante and Theatre Glory against former winner Honeysuckle, who drops down to the Mares instead of defending her Champion Hurdle crown.

Willie Mullins accounts for three of the ten entrants, with Brandy Love, Echoes In Rain and Shewearsitwell set to represent Ireland's Champion Trainer. Love Envoi and Queen's Brook also feature in the final field, along with Andrew Martin's Midnight Ginger.

Other Day One Entries


Gaillard Du Mesnil tops a list of 13 entered for the National Hunt Chase, where he could come up against stablemates Ramillies and Tenzing. Jamie Codd and Barry O'Neill have been confirmed in the saddle of Chemical Energy and Minella Crooner respectively for Gordon Elliott. Mahler Mission, Churchstonewarrior and Fakiera will represent Ireland, with Mister Coffey, Coeur Serein and Coolvalla featuring amongst the British runners.

Corach Rambler returns to defend his Ultima crown. Into Overdrive, Nassalam and Oscar Elite feature in the confirmed 23-runner field. Fastorslow, The Goffer and Glamorgan Duke will bid to end Ireland's dismal record in this handicap.

A capacity field of 22 runners was confirmed for the Boodles Handicap Hurdle. Tekao, Byker, Risk Belle and Sir Allen feature among the Irish runners. Rachael Blackmore rides Bad for Ben Pauling. Perseus Way, Punta Del Este and Afadil featured in the final field.
