2021 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Odds - Appreciate It could tackle 17 rivals

The Cheltenham Festival opens with a bang on Tuesday, as many of the best novices in the sport lock horns in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. 18 talented hurdlers stood their ground at the seven-day declaration stage, with Appreciate It topping the betting.

Having won two Grade Ones at Leopardstown earlier in the season, Appreciate It tops the betting and Willie Mullins’ star is only getting strong at the head of the betting. Paddy Power has shortened Appreciate It into 11/8 in the course of the last week, and he’ll be very hard to beat.

Ballyadam will make his first start for Henry De Bromhead in the Supreme. Bob Olinger remains in the betting, but he’s odds-on to run in the Ballymore instead. 

Appreciate It could be joined by Blue Lord and Ganapathi, if Willie Mullins opts for the Supreme over the County Hurdle. Henry De Bromhead also has Irascible in the mix, while Keskonrisk, Galopin Des Champs and M C Muldoon remain in the mix.

Harry Fry’s Tolworth Hurdle winner, Metier looks on-course for the Supreme, and he sits second behind Appreciate It in the betting. Betfair Hurdle winner, Soaring Glory also remained in the Supreme field, but Jonjo O’Neill may be leaning towards the County Hurdle.

Nigel Twiston-Davies could throw both Gowel Road and Guard Your Dreams into the opener on day one of the Cheltenham Festival. Third Time Lucki has the choice between the Supreme and the County Hurdle, as does Fifty Ball and Shakem Up’arry. For Pleasure and Grumpy Charley round off the field for the Supreme.
