2023 Pertemps Final Entries

Winners of Pertemps Qualifiers have a poor record in the final. However, changes to the qualification system - with runners needing a top four finish in a qualifier to qualify, as opposed to a top six finish - would favour the more exposed runners and it's no surprise to see three winners of qualifiers heading the market.

Charles Byrnes' Shoot First is the favourite, following his victory in the qualifier here at Cheltenham in October. Two Leopardstown winners follow the favourite in the market, with Maxxum sitting just behind Perceval Legallois in the betting.

Gordon Elliott could also run Salvador Ziggy, Santonito and The Bosses Oscar, who was the beaten favourite in the Pertemps Final back in 2021. Nicky Henderson looks set to unleash a strong team on day three of the Cheltenham Festival too, with Walking On Air, Captain Morgs, Steal A March and Call Me Lord all featuring in the market.

Willie Mullins has handed the Pertemps Final option to Shewearsitwell, who's also entered in the Mares' Hurdle. Other notable entrants include Botox Has, Hector Javilex, An Tailliur, Glimpse Of Gala and Good Time Jonny.
