2023 Savills Chase Entries
The new favourite for this year's Savills Chase is Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Galopin Des Champs, who will now head to Leopardstown over Christmas, instead of being saved for the Irish Gold Cup. Galopin Des Champs will once again lock horns with Fastorslow, who has beaten Willie Mullins' star in the Punchestown Gold Cup and the John Durkan.
Gerri Colombe adds further spice to this fantastic Grade One. Gordon Elliott had said his Gold Cup contender was heading over to the King George VI Chase at Kempton, but the team has recently decided to take on his Cheltenham rivals at Leopardstown.
Envoi Allen could have his first run in the Savills Chase, following an excellent effort behind Gerri Colombe at Down Royal. Stablemate and former winner, A Plus Tard has also been handed an entry by Henry De Bromhead.
Galopin Des Champs could be joined in the field by stablemates Appreciate It, I Am Maximus and Gaillard Du Mesnil. Gordon Elliott's main hope could be Conflated, despite his recent drift in the market.
