After Shishkin and Chacun Pour Soi exited the Champion Chase early, Energumene handed Willie Mullins an overdue first victory in the Queen Mother. Mullins' eight-year-old has only been beaten once over obstacles and William Hill makes Energumene their 8/11 favourite.
Chacun Pour Soi thrashed Allaho to win this race 12 months ago. Mullins' ten-year-old flopped at Sandown earlier in the season and unseated Patrick Mullins at the half-way stage in the Champion Chase, so Chacun Pour Soi will be out to prove the doubters wrong on Tuesday.
Envoi Allen stayed on to finish third in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham and could remain over two miles at Punchestown. Gordon Elliott has handed Andy Dufresne a Grade One entry. The final runner could be Henry De Bromhead's Captain Guinness.

Energumene is very hard to oppose, but at the prices I'd much rather back CHACUN POUR SOI on day one of the Punchestown Festival.
Willie Mullins' ten-year-old has failed to fire in Britain, but on Irish soil, only A Plus Tard has beaten Chacun Pour Soi. Mullins' ten-year-old is also unbeaten here at Punchestown, with his most recent win coming in this race 12 months ago, where he handed Allaho a sound five-length thrashing.
From everything Mullins says in stable tours and interviews prior to big races, he clearly thinks Chacun Pour Soi is as good a two-mile chaser as he's ever trained. Good ground won't bother him and we're sure to see the real Chacun Pour Soi around his favourite track.
Verdict
It wouldn't be a surprise at all if Chacun Pour Soi was to beat Energumene on Tuesday, so I'd much rather take the 7/4 that's on offer.
