The feature race of the Punchestown Festival takes place on day two, as many of the sport's best chasers do battle in the Punchestown Gold Cup. This Grade One has been won by legends like Arkle during it's history and Galopin Des Champs will carry a very short price into this year's renewal.

Let's take a look through the latest Punchestown Gold Cup betting and run through the headline entries.

2023 Punchestown Gold Cup Entries

Galopin Des Champs made it six wins from seven starts over fences at the Cheltenham Festival last month, kicking seven lengths clear of Bravemansgame after the final flight to hand Willie Mullins his third Gold Cup. Paul Townend's mount returned a price of 2/9 when winning the John Durkan here at Punchestown earlier in the season and the bookies make Galopin Des Champs a similar price to claim his seventh Grade One victory.

Bravemansgame could travel over to Punchestown to renew rivalries with his Gold Cup conquerer. Paul Nicholls' charge has produced his best performances around the right-handed track at Kempton and Nicholls is no stranger to success in this Grade One, so Bravemansgame has to be respected if he's allowed to run.

Ryanair Chase winner Envoi Allen could step back up to three miles on his final outing of the season. Shark Hanlon has handed an entry to Hewick, who was still travelling well when he fell at the second-last in the Gold Cup.

Fury Road could be turned out quickly, following an early fall in the Grand National. Martin Brassil's Ultima runner-up, Fastorslow completes the field for Wednesday's feature race at the Punchestown Festival.
