The fional day of York's Ebor Festival begins with the Group Three Strensall Stakes, for which Geryon has been backed into favouritism.

Ger Lyon's star was last seen finished a very close second behind the excellent Enceladus in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood. Geryon drops back down to nine furlongs today, the same distance over which he thrashed a decent field in the Group Three Meld Stakes on his penultimate start at Leopardstown.
