The 2025 Savills Chase at Leopardstown's Christmas Festival is the highlight of the event, featuring a stellar lineup of contenders. Leading the odds is Galopin Des Champs, who seeks a historic third consecutive victory in this Grade One race. Though he missed a prior race appearance, his record at Leopardstown is formidable. Challenging him is Inothewayurthinkin, who recently finished fifth in the John Durkan, alongside other noted entrants like Fact To File, Fastorslow, and many new entrants. This year's race promises intense competition and excitement with several horses aiming to make their mark.

Leopardstown's Christmas Festival is headlined by the Savills Chase, which takes place on day three of the meeting. Since its creation in 1986, this three-mile chase has been won by many of the sport's finest chasers, and a modern-day great will attempt to become the first horse to win this race for three successive years in 2025.

Here's a look through the current Savills Chase betting and a rundown of the most likely runners.

2025 Savills Chase Entries

Galopin Des Champs headlines the betting, as he looks to complete a history-making hat-trick of victories in this Grade One. Willie Mullins' star is unbeaten around the chase track at Leopardstown, but the favourite will return to his favourite track fresh this year, having missed his intended reappearance in the John Durkan.

Inothewayurthinkin beat Willie Mullins' legend to hand Gavin Cromwell his first Cheltenham Gold Cup in March. Mark Walsh's mount has had a prep-run, having finished a distant fifth in the John Durkan last month, and there seems to be hope in the camp that he'll give Galopin Des Champs a proper test.

Fact To File did sit at the head of the market for the Savills' Chase, but it now seems certain that he'll join Gaelic Warrior in the King George VI Chase. Betfair Chase winner, Grey Dawning also features in the entries, but Dan Skelton has said recently that his top chaser will head to the Cotswold Chase before a tilt at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Fastorslow was a well-beaten third in the John Durkan on his own comeback from injury, and seems likely to step back up to three miles over Christmas. Affordale Fury has been in excellent form this autumn, and Noel Meade will reward his seven-year-old with an outing in Grade One company.

Grade One-winning novice Champ Kiely, and Brown Advisory winner Lecky Watson, and the first and third from the Grand National, Nick Rockett and Grangeclare West could also represent Willie Mullins. Other notable entries include Henry de Bromhead's trio of Heart Wood, Monty's Star and Gorgeous Tom, Gordon Elliott's pair of Gerri Colombe and Croke Park, and Vincent Halley's stable star, Senecia.
