Yoshito Yahagi's horse boasts strong past performances at Meydan and aims to capture the title this year. Other competitors like Imperial Emperor present formidable challenges, ensuring an action-packed race day.

| Name | Odds |

2025 Dubai World Cup Entries
Forever Young came out on top in a titanic battle with Hong Kong legend, Romantic Warrior to win the Saudi Cup last month. Yoshito Yahagi said immediately after that stunning victory that Forever Young would bid for a cup double at Meydan, and Japan's top dirt racer is the early odds-on favourite to win this year's Dubai World Cup.
Imperial Emperor jumped up to second in the betting following his runaway triumph in the Al Maktoum Classic on Super Saturday. Bhupat Seemar's five-year-old had finished second to Walk Of Stars in the Al Maktoum Challenge, and he also sits prominently in the Dubai World Cup betting, despite a lengthy defeat behind Forever Young in Riyadh.
Saudi Cup sixth Rattle N Roll looks set to represent Ken McPeek again. Brad Cox's Hit Show is the other representative for Team USA, but will have to bounce back after a poor effort in the Santa Anita Handicap.
Ushba Tesoro ended Japan's long wait for a Dubai World Cup win in 2023, but hasn't recaptured that form since. Crown Pride will be looking to bounce back after poor showings on his last two starts. Japan could be further represented by Wilson Tesoro and Ramjet, who kept on to finish a fourth and sixth respectively in the Saudi Cup.
2025 Dubai World Cup Tips
My least imaginative selection on Dubai World Cup Night comes in the namesake race of the meeting, where I can't see beyond the odds-on favourite FOREVER YOUNG (8/13). Yoshito Yahagi's star came out on top of Romantic Warrior in a battle for the ages in the Saudi Cup, where the top two pulled miles clear of Ushba Tesoro and Wilson Tesoro back in third and fourth.
Forever Young has dominated his rivals in Japan and even has course form here at Meydan, having run away with the UAE Derby 12 months ago. Ryusei Sakai's mount has only tasted defeat in America, but Forever Young was incredibly unlucky not to win the Kentucky Derby last season and his third-place effort in the Breeders' Cup Classic was more than commendable.
There's a chance that Forever Young had a hard race at Riyadh, which would bring the likes of Imperial Emperor and Walk Of Stars into the contest. Yet, I fancy the favourite could beat both of them without being at his best. Forever Young, for me, is the best dirt race on the planet.
