2024 Aintree Hurdle Entries
Henry De Bromhead ignored calls to supplement Relkeel Hurdle winner, Bob Olinger into the Champion Hurdle, instead focussing on this Grade One assignment at Aintree. Rachael Blackmore's mount heads the early betting, with Champion Hurdle runner-up Irish Point sitting second in the market.
Willie Mullins decided to bypass Cheltenham with Impaire Et Passe, who has been slightly disappointing on his three starts so far this term. Last year's Gallagher Novices' Hurdle winner can still be backed at 7/2, as the three Irish horses dominate the Aintree Hurdle market.
With Constitution Hill still in recovery, Nicky Henderson will have to rely on other runners in this Grade One. Champion Hurdle third, Luccia and former Mares' Hurdle winner, Marie's Rock could represent Henderson, with Iberico Lord and First Street also featured in the market.
Dual-Coral Cup winner, Langer Dan could step into Grade One company. Dan Skelton has also handed an entry to Aintree specialist West Balboa. Other possible runners at the Grand National Festival include Nemean Lion for Kerry Lee, Patrick Neville's Mahon's Glory and Gordon Elliott's 11-year-old, Beacon Edge.
