The last of four Grade Ones that take place on day one of Aintree's Grand National festival is the Aintree Hurdle. Nicky Henderson has won five of the last 11 renewals of this two-and-a-half-mile hurdle and it's his stable star who dominates this betting heat.

2023 Aintree Hurdle Entries

Constitution Hill extended his unbeaten record into a sixth race with an effortless nine-length triumph in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham last time out. Nicky Henderson will step his six-year-old up in trip for the first time at Aintree and Constitution Hill is currently 1/4 to win his sixth Grade One in a row.

Stablemate Epatante won this race 12 months ago and sits a distant second in the ante-post betting. Zanahiyr fell at the last when challenging here at Aintree last year and Gordon Elliott's raider could return for another crack.

I Like To Move It underperformed in the Champion Hurdle, but could take on Constitution Hill again at Aintree. Irish rivals Pied Piper and Sharjah could step back up to Grade One level, having placed in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Paul Nicholls could run Elite Hurdle winner Knappers Hill. Other possible Grand National Festival runners include Brewin'Upastorm, Sceau Royal and Highway One O Two.
